Romanian strongman competitor of the new generation, active in Open and Under 110 competition, with international appearances and podium finishes across the European circuit.
Vlăduț Angheloiu is part of a new generation of Romanian athletes who have built their sporting identity directly on the competition platform. Born in 2002, he competes in a field where experience gaps can be significant, yet he has quickly built competitive experience through regular appearances and clashes with athletes from several European countries.
Active in strongman competitions since 2025, Vlăduț has accumulated appearances in Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, and Hungary, competing both in the Open category and in the Under 110 division. His record includes important finishes such as second place at the 2026 Open Cup Bor U110 and Open Cup Svilajnac U110, as well as a second-place finish at the Rebellion Strength Festival Novice.
One of the defining strengths of his competitive profile is versatility. His results and strength records cover events such as deadlift, truck pull, Atlas Stones, frame carry, power stairs, log lift, axle press, giant dumbbell, and strength-and-speed medleys. Rather than limiting himself to a single specialty, Vlăduț is building his profile through the ability to answer very different demands of modern strongman.
The 2026 season represented an important step forward. Alongside his Under 110 podium finishes, Vlăduț competed at events including PSL Silver Round I and II, PSL Water Giants, Strongman Zalău, Jagodina Open, Pehar Valjevski, and Grand Prix Knjaževac. These appearances gave him experience against athletes from multiple countries and exposed him to increasingly demanding competitive standards.
His profile is also backed by a solid strength base for this stage of his career: 290 kg deadlift, 280 kg squat, 220 kg front squat, 145 kg log lift, 140 kg axle press, 110 kg block press, 100 kg giant dumbbell, and 390 kg frame lift. These numbers point to an athlete developing raw strength, loading ability, and force transfer across strongman-specific events at the same time.
At the beginning of his competitive career, Vlăduț Angheloiu represents the type of athlete who develops through direct exposure to competition, strong opponents, and varied events. His trajectory suggests a long-term build, and the most interesting part of the story is still ahead: turning accumulated experience into increasingly consistent international results.
