Svilajnac Open Cup

Svilajnac Open Cup 2026 was an important event on the regional strongman scene, bringing together competitors from Serbia and Romania. The competition was held on 27 June 2026 on the tartan grounds of Jovan Jovanović Zmaj Elementary School in Svilajnac, according to local sports coverage.

The public Open classification lists seven competitors. Lucian Silviu Croitor finished first with 39 points, Bogdan Vuković second with 33 points, and David Tomić third with 32 points. Vlad Voinea finished fourth and Tudor Stancu fifth. Sixth place remains unidentified in the public sources reviewed. Boban Jovanović is listed in seventh place.

The six events combined maximal strength, speed, strength endurance and the ability to move heavy implements. The published program included Truck Pull, Tire Flip, Frame Carry, Dumbbell Press, Front Hold and Power Stairs.

Power Stairs: the published setup lists 130 kg for the first 4 steps, 180 kg for the next 4 and 230 kg for the final 4. Dumbbell Press had a 54 kg qualifying round and a 75 kg repetition event. The published individual athlete data has been retained for the other times and distances.

Romania’s presence was one of the notable stories of the competition. Lucian Silviu Croitor won the Open classification, while Vlad Voinea and Tudor Stancu finished inside the top five. For Vlad Voinea, fourth place continued his Svilajnac trajectory after winning the 2025 Open edition.

A U110 category was also held on the same day. The public classification lists Zoran Kopic first, Aleksandar Savić second and Vlăduț Angheloiu third. Renato Repić was mentioned by local sports coverage as a participant at Svilajnac, but the source did not publish a result sufficient to place him in the verified Open classification.
