1. What is Auto Total Business Show?

Auto Total Business Show (ATBS) is a major Romanian event dedicated to the automotive industry, bringing together exhibitors, professionals, enthusiasts and a broad audience interested in technology, performance and live spectacle. The 2026 edition took place at Romexpo in Bucharest on May 23–24, combining exhibition activity with demonstrations and entertainment.

In 2026, the show combined the automotive world with motorsport, tuning, technical demonstrations, stunt performances and sporting moments, turning the exhibition venue into an arena where technology and strength were presented directly to the audience.

2. The scale of the 2026 edition

Post-event communications presented the 2026 edition as one of the largest in the show's history, with more than 43,000 visitors and more than 130 exhibitors from 46 countries. The program featured numerous activations, demonstrations and contests, together with around 100 modified cars and motorcycles.

3. Strongman at Auto Total Business Show 2026

3.1. Strongest Man and the strength spectacle

The Strongest Man component brought a form of competition and demonstration based on raw strength, endurance and control of heavy objects. Materials published about the 2026 edition mention truck-pulling, large tire flips and heavy lifting demonstrations witnessed by the audience at Romexpo.

During the demonstrations, Vlăduț Angheloiu and Raul Alba managed to move a car using only body strength over a distance of 20 meters, a moment later highlighted in the event communication.

3.2. Why Strongman fits ATBS

The connection between the two worlds is direct: ATBS celebrates cars, engines, technology and performance, while strongman showcases power generated by the human body. Trucks, cars and tires become, for a few minutes, instruments for measuring athletic strength.

4. My participation at ATBS 2026

I was present at Auto Total Business Show 2026 and took part in the event's strength program. I performed a strongman show demonstration for the Romexpo audience, bringing several representative disciplines into the ATBS arena.

4.1. Truck Pull – Arm Over Arm

Truck Pull – Arm Over Arm was one of the disciplines in the demonstration. It emphasizes pulling strength, coordination, grip and the ability to maintain an efficient rhythm under a very heavy load. In the ATBS setting, seeing an athlete move a heavy vehicle created an immediate connection with the event's theme.

4.2. Hercules Hold

Hercules Hold focused on isometric strength and grip endurance. The athlete must maintain the arms and body under tension for as long as possible, making it one of the clearest demonstrations of absolute strength endurance.

4.3. Tire Flip

Tire Flip provided the dynamic element of the demonstration. Flipping a large tire demands the legs, hips, back and arms, together with the ability to transfer force quickly through the entire body.

4.4. Car Walk

Car Walk took the connection with the automotive world even further: moving an automobile while supporting and controlling its load is one of strongman's most spectacular demonstrations. For the ATBS audience, the car became both a spectacle object and a test of strength.

5. A spectacle within a spectacle

The strongman demonstration fitted naturally into the atmosphere of ATBS 2026, alongside drift, stunt shows, tuning, modified vehicles, technical demonstrations and other entertainment moments. Physical strength became another form of performance presented to the audience, carrying the same energy of spectacle that defined the event as a whole.

6. The audience experience

For spectators, a strongman show works through immediate visual impact: huge objects, cars, tires and loads that appear impossible to move are set in motion through human strength. At ATBS, this component complemented the automotive spectacle and offered the audience a different perspective on the idea of power and performance.

7. An important moment for Romanian strongman

For me, taking part in ATBS 2026 was an opportunity to bring strongman in front of a very broad audience and show that the discipline can work not only as a traditional competition, but also as a high-impact sporting spectacle. Featuring Truck Pull – Arm Over Arm, Hercules Hold, Tire Flip and Car Walk turned the demonstration area into a meeting point between human strength and the automotive world.
